It is no secret, weed smells great, more than great actually; it has a somewhat therapeutic aroma.
The fiery smell of cannabis, with traces of earth and nature, usually has consumers craving a hit. It is also a reminder of past smoking sessions and can also be the alarm bell telling you that a long and exhausting day has ended.
Though, the greatness and incredibility of this smell of cannabis are sometimes limited to whether someone is a user or not. Not everyone appreciates the smell of burning or storing marijuana.
The smell of cannabis is known to induce nausea, especially among non-users. It also negatively affects people with breathing problems or those dealing with asthma and allergies.
So, you are moving around smelling like the inside of a bong, whether at a family gathering, on public transport, or at a work meeting, will draw disgusted and judgmental stares. Hiding or masking the smell of cannabis will therefore make things easier for you and those within your proximity.
The smell of cannabis usually clings to your skin, hair, towels, curtains, car seats, and clothes because of the terpenes released when marijuana is burning.

Most effective ways of hiding the smell of cannabis and leaving no trace whatsoever.
1. Take a shower
As previously noted, the odor of cannabis can stick to your skin and clothing. Taking a shower after a hit will almost certainly solve this problem.
Use either hot or cold water and scented soap. Hard water is preferable since the body’s senses are heightened, and the sensation of cold water on the skin can be relaxing or unforgettable.
Competent handwashing can suffice if you don’t have time for a full shower. Also, don’t forget to change your clothes.
You could also go bare-chested and smoke. Make sure no one is looking.
2. Ventilate
Proper ventilation will move terpenes out of the used space, preventing the cannabis terpene scent from adhering to your clothes, car seats, or drapes.
As a result, check for sufficient airflow in the area you wish to smoke before lighting up. Open the windows, turn on the fans, or do anything else that will allow air to move freely in and out of the room.
It’s best to smoke outside if at all feasible.
3. Use air fresheners.
Because the scent of smoking weed is so strong, it is difficult to hide with typical air fresheners.
Unless you use extremely strong fresheners, using air fresheners is consequently ineffective. Remember that terpenes from cigarette smoke stick to clothing, drapes, and skin.
Typically, air fresheners fade away, but these terpenes persist, a lingering odor. It may, however, work for a short period.
4. Incense sticks
Many people dismiss incense sticks as a cliche, although they have been demonstrated to be helpful.
It’s best to buy incense sticks that have a natural scent so that it’s not clear that you’re masking the smell of anything powerful.
When incense sticks are lit, smoke is released, which can be utilized to cover the smell of cannabis. When you don’t come from Asia, having incense sticks in your possession will provoke suspicion.
5. Scented candles
Like incense sticks, the theory here is to produce a scent powerful enough to mask the pungent smell of cannabis.
6. Roll a damp towel and place it under your door
This is a simple and effective solution for smokers who smoke in enclosed spaces. The towel fills the small crevice beneath your door.
However, it only works if all windows and other sources of airflow are closed. The damp towel will absorb the terpenes from the smoking, hiding the smell of cannabis in the room.
It’s important to remember that this is a smoke arresting technique, not a smoke removal technique. As a result, the smoke and aroma will depart once the door is opened.
7. Smoke filters
Smoke filters, often known as “sploofs,” can be constructed at home. An empty toilet paper roll, scented wipes, a clean sock, and two rubber bands are all you need.
Fill the empty roll with scented wipes, then use the rubber bands to secure the sock at both ends.
The perfumed wipes filter the strong cannabis smoke breathed into the sploof, resulting in odorless air being discharged at the other end.
8. Smoke near an open fire
Many people will think this is unsafe, if not risky. However, if you have a fireplace in your home or a fire pit in your backyard, smoking near these will nearly eliminate the smell of burning cannabis.
Like in a movie, you’d look highly impressive smoking in front of a fire.
9. Adopt better storage methods.
If you have a lot of marijuana in your house, you should know that it doesn’t have to be burning to smell.
Terpenes are emitted even when there is no fire, but the odor is still discernible to a lesser degree.
The preferred solution to hide the smell of cannabis here is airtight mason jars. They’ll retain all the terpenes within, therefore eliminating the possibility of smelling them.
In addition to keeping your treasure fresh, these jars protect it against mold. Also available are Ziploc bags, Rubbermaid containers, and vacuum-sealed bags.
10. Vaporize
Using e-cigarettes or vape pens with dry cannabis buds or cannabis oil creates substantially less smoke than smoking.
This means there is less or no odor of cannabis being burned. Vaporizers are inexpensive and may be found in our store.
11. Change methods of administration
People are coming up with innovative ways of consuming marijuana that mask the smell of cannabis due to the extensive research into marijuana use.
Smoking is the most common and effective way to get high, but it leaves a trail of smoke and odor. Consuming cannabis in the form of edibles or drinks, on the other hand, will eliminate all traces and mask the scent.
Keep in mind that the high from edibles is usually stronger.
